1970 Shelby GT500 vs 95 Mazda RX-7

yea , my brother and I got pretty stupid today.

He took out the Shelby that he's been storing in my garage so I decided to 'follow'.

We were playing follow the leader, and pretty much these two cars stay even, until the shelby hits third, then a slight pull away for a couple seconds. Whats funny is that the rx-7 pulls quicker at first, but the two even out very quickly.

Got to say that its fun to hear the shelby chirp its tires when shifting
My tires are too new to spin at those speeds.

In a straight away, the shelby has the RX-7, but in cornering the RX beats it hands down....got to say thats the most fun I've had in the rx7 for a while....

The Rx is bone stock with no mods, I'm sure that even with a DP and an exhaust the two would be even though.....

I have an old mustang and I am pretty sure a minivan can take that thing in the corner. I am surprised the the Mustang had the 7 in a straight line though. I imagine after a 100 or so the 7 would probably have the advantage.

Good thing the the FD has boost creep, low eight, and 4:10 rear end to give it some speed.

Either way, this place has been the same 9 douchebags posting stupid bullshit day after day, and it is boring as hell. Some girl joins up and starts posting pictures of herself and rather than enjoy the fact that something fairly interesting is happening in this otherwise dead lounge, people are being fags. I could give a shit one way or the other, but the next time someone finds themselves wondering why this forum is so fucking dead all the time, just think back to this.

Leaf springs, poor weight distribution, horrible steering. Still the same car, just some small changes (Spring, shocks) for the gt 500 but the design is the flaw. My mustang is 90% a GT350 but a GT350 will still handle like crap. The value though is crazy. For yours 100K is probably spot on the price.

But the funney thing is, most mustang owners dont think they have excessive body roll, and you cannot convince them otherwise save the few that will ride with you.

My uncles GT had very little body roll, and all his suspension was stock

Don't they just have straight torsion bars for rear suspension?
