I actually took a DelSol off the Line

I was driving down #9 last night from Walmart. This car starts to tailgate me, so I just pull into the right hand lane. As the car pulls beside me, I see that it is a red Delsol with no exhaust, and no visible aftermarket products except some rims that were not exceptionally flashy. He doesnt look over at me, so I look away. He then revs at me, down shifts, and takes off. I'm not sure what he's trying to do, so I downshift and follow. We are now doing about 75-80 down #9. I pull near him and he revs his engine. I crack one accordingly. We continue to go down the road until we hit the light at Parris Bridge Rd. I pull beside him. He looks at me, gives a peace sign, and revs. I drop it into 1st and when the light hits I go. Unbelievably, I pull about 2 1/2 - 3 lenghts on him. I believe he was either drunk or didn't know how to drive, cuz I heard the engine rev really loud. He was too heavy on the clutch. As I was pulling away, I heard a brief squeel, then he was shooting past. I tried to keep up, but it was a futile effort. He slowed down, and as I caught up and went to make my turn, he flashed another peace sign and we went our separate ways. I can now honestly say that my car has beaten A delsol off of the line.

I think he wrecked the Mitsu and drives a tempo.

yeah.  I tuned it to its threshhold.  Last month we set up the EMS with the new wideband sniffer and he was pushing about 92 hp.  I dont think stock internals can handle much more.
