Bear Grylls
I'm really upset about the bear grylls crap. I'm not so naive as to believe all of it was real but damn.

It all started with an american survival consultant they used who evidently got pissed off. Now stuff like this is popping up:

Eh, whatever. Hes legit. Hes done all that stuff for real in the special forces. It would be insanely hard and expensive to run a camera crew to really remote locations and film for days while he "survives". It really doesn't surprise me.

typically $400/day per cameraman, $350-$400/day for the soundman (if used). These sorts of shows, though, it's common for the chap to do most of the filming himself which means doing everything twice. Set up the camera, jump a chasm, jump back and get the camera, jump again off camera, and carry on.

I always liked survivorman much better. It seems like bear always takes stupid risks that a normal person wouldn't be able to do. Not to mention I watched that episode In Hawaii (the island I live on BTW) and he just did it all wrong.
But that being said he knows alot more then I do and I wouldn't mind having him around if I were stranded in the middle of nowhere

Les Stroud is like a bazillion times cooler, for the fact he doesn't mention the special forces all the time. He regularly admits to being Canadian, but that's not much different than being from Wisconsin.
They both seem cool, but Bear seems like he'd be snobby and British, while Les would be cool and pass a joint rolled in natural fibres from some native tree.

Bear probably had the trout caught for him.
