You don't like Bullshit?
Granted I don't always agree with their conclusions but it's one of the better shows on television these days.
Oh, and they were never stand-up comics, they're magicians.

I read their biography on their season 1 disc set of Bullshit. Stand-up was never mentioned.

If by stand-up you are refering to them up on a stage, performing magic tricks then I understand. For some reason, I thought that were speaking in terms of your conventional stand-up. You know, like: "what's the deal with ice tea?"
You have to admire their longevity though. Not many performers can remain as prominent in the business for 30 as they've been able to.

These guys aren't geniuses. And that is the real point. You don't need to be smart to realize that the Bible is bullshit. Why do you feel you need someone smarter than you or have a degree in something to tell you that logic is...logic?
Case in point. The FLOOOOOOOD!
No one survived after the flood. Even Noah and his family perished due to starvation. Because after all the water subsided, all the vegetation uprooted and died under miles of water, and all were covered by sediment. Never mind where all the water to cover the whole earth came from. Never mind how they got millions of species on board the Ark. Big problem to the story was, how were the animals getting off the ark was going to live on? What were the giraffes going to eat? And the elephants? Holy deep shit YZF! Did god made all evidence of this event disappear? Oh yeah, he threw a few micro organisms on a mountain top.
I believe in the Noah story for a very long time. The more i walk on the Earth, the more it is to the truth as a cute story like many of us fiction writers write today.
Like the good folks in that link i gave you said, 'to be an atheist, read the bible.' So true! And the bullshit doesnt stop at the flood! There is more! Contradictions that puts so called 'gods words' unable to hold water. JESUS CHRIST!! dont take my word for it or YZF or the two bozos on the link...READ THE BIBLE!!!
I did.

I Corinthians 1
Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

Corinthians does not equal tooooooooo....
Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
or
Psalm 5:5
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight.
or
Ephesians 5:15
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.
or how bout this gem...VV
1 Corinthians 1:27
God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.
does not equal to
1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the author of confusion....
Yeah, cavemen not focused. Sabretooth must have invaded the camp.

yeah...um... didnt you make a point, like a few threads ago, that you needed to be wise to understand the bible, not smart? If so, how is saying god is wiser than man have to do with us?
To me, Corinthians speaks to us from a man who is trying to understand why god hides his wisdom from man. To answer such a riddle, the author thinks god has to be the uberest smartest wisest being in the whole flipping universe. And since man cant understand this, man pales in wisdom.
If god hide wisdom, how do we know he has wisdom? What if he hides evil? How do we know he isn't evil? How do we know god really isnt the devil and the devil isn't god. My god, this shit isnt any clearer.
Not logical Mr Corinthians. Fight off that sabretooth tiger and try again.

You believe when people place their wisdom in places other than where you think wisdom should be, they are wrong and/or damned to hell.
