Cpl.

So if you had a partial tear in your CPL would you stop going to the gym? If so for how long? Would you try and stay off of the leg too?

You got me sorry. Yes a partial tear though. Its still attached but they dont know where it tore or how bad it is. Only that the xray's showed no fractures or broken bones and that if it gets worse then they will have to do surgery on it.

I recommend stopping for a few weeks at least. Then slowly start working it again. Light weight, low resistance, low impact. Depending on how bad it is, you may never fully recover. This is how I blew my knee out 7 years ago, and it still isn't back to pre-injury status. I'm 22 and my knee creaks and cracks and it has a tendency to just give out at times still to this day. Take care of it, and you will turn out better than I did, I made the mistake of still working out and running, etc.

I have been easy on it since it happened. I havent been to the gym at all because i know i will try to work out on it just to see if it is ok. Hopefully sometime next week i will start easing back into working on it again.

Everything in moderation. And if you get to the point where you feel like it MIGHT START to hurt soon, stop there. Don't wait until its actually sore.
