i have had more problems with mine then anyone on this site could ever had.. they use plastic for everything and it all melts, oil leaks into turbo all the time.. ect..

every VW made after mid '90s is from South America. They don't build them in Germany these days.

I thought it was Brazil for some reason. Either way VW isn't a German car anymore.
They have a different way of building cars. Their suppliers actually come in and install the components they make. They do very little themselves, in-house.

yup, designed in germany, assembled in mexico, my VW is a big pile of shiznit. but 500 bucks for a 96 sounds good, and the 4 doors offset the 7 nicely. oh well i guess

My sister has a 95 Jetta that has taken a few cross country trips, 3 wrecks, and a broken timing belt...
Still runs to this day with 160k miles on the original clutch. Drives it occassionally now.

My uncle got a new old bug before they closed down the plant that was making them. Looks exactly like a 74 but it was made in like 94, and all you have to do is swap some floor pans and a couple tags and that bitch is completly legal.
