A Merry Christmas Question
Does God survive merely because everybody thinks somebody else understands it better than they do and trusts that they have satisfied themselves that it does all hang together?

Did Queen or Zero say that the said situation paralelled their own? Seriously man; I won't offer my opinions. I'll be done with this forum. Peace.

I suspect that in your mind, God is no more of an object than is atheism. Regardless of physical presence, the question works just fine.
At any rate.... let's try it again:
Does your belief that God does not exist survive by the assumption that someone can or at some point will be able to explain existance without it begining with God (or a god)? In other words, do you assume that it all works out somehow?

atheism isn't an object. It describes something or someone. God is an object and is what my statement is based upon. I can apply atheism to God to discribe him. 'An atheist God'...where as god never is removed from being an object.
If you don't understand, you might want to stick to others forums. This one is too big for ya.

Once more, the ability to answer the question is not contingent on the subject being a physical object. You seem to be clinging to this in hopes of being able to avoid the question.
Atheism is a philosophy or a belief. A belief is very much an object (note that an object need not be something physical for it to be considered an object).
Don’t agree?
Fine.
Atheism signifies existence without God. This implies a universe created naturally.
There’s your object, a natural, self sustaining universe.
Now if you don’t mind:

Come on, merry up and take your Yule Tide pounding.

A thought process isnt an object. mormanism describes how someone views an object but the action itself isnt an object at all.
We dont need to go on further if this confuses you. I am sorry my friend, you might want to stick with cleaning windshields for tips.

resorting to personal attacks is not the sign of someone who is good at or interested in discussing ideas other than his own.

An exaggerated discription of someone refusing to understand fundamental English. His mistake is like new Math (1+1=3) and he wishes it to apply. He is being lazy and is unable or unwilling to focus on my topic.
And Mr Poop, since you had read our conversation, maybe you can help me find where in it allowed your nose to be in it. Pretty sure it wasn't any of your business.
Why dont you answer the topic and perhaps we can have a nice discussion. I'll be nice if you dont attempt to derail the topic with idiotcy.
Same to you YZF. Welcome back from being in church. Did you play usher today? I'm sure you looked like an angel.

This is not relivant to the topic. If you have anything worthwhile to say, go ahead and place them here. Otherwise, please remove yourself from the keyboards, be sure your plastic friend is plugged in properly.

What you 'really' smell are the very keyboards you touch after picking your own asshole. It's called hemorrhoids. Get a doc to look at it.

If you are too afraid to debate perhaps you should stick to STB.
