I wanted to know what my car weighed, so today I went to Mintz Scrap Iron and Metal and weighed the someb*tch.
Including 8 gallons of gas, the fat bastard weighed 3460 lbs. I didn't know it'd be that heavy. No driver/passengers in it.. only the gas, subwoofer and amp.
Just throwing this out there mainly because this forum hasn't seen any activity in like 3 months.

The plate inside the door jam has the GVW, but the actual weight may be more or less.

You should have seen the turbo Miata that was street racing at Nopi. It hit 3rd and got sideways. That thing was mean .

Yeah turbo miatas are awesome. If i was going to get a turbo, id get a flyin miata kit, the 5,000 dollar one. Then i'd upgrade the internals and pump up the boost! weeee
340hp+2300lb car = one hell of a fun car.
It'll be a while before i start making that much money though. I figured id concentrate mod money on mostly suspension work, and other various stuff, cuz you really can't make a miata real fast without forced induction
