Need Help in Choosing Car
I sold my FD about 2 months ago, I got tired of break downs and the capital need one to go where I want to go with it (track) so Im sitting with 5k cash and financing if needed and I want to get a new car. Here are the requirements.
Budget 30,000$ (if the car is less than 5 years old)
$20,000 (if older than 5 years)
RWD
270-300 HP (not wheel and through stock or mods)
AMAZING Handling
Less than 3300 lbs
Basically I want a modern FD, and scary enough the closest thing to this description that I can find is the RX-8, so , the RX-8 is currently something Im considering to get if anyone has something else throw it on the table.

Get a 2006 MX-5
Doesn't have the HP you're looking for, but it does do the 1/4 in about 15 secs and 0-60 in about 6 secs...
Got mine for 21,999 and it's the sport package... "Upgraded" shocks and an LSD for $500, 6-speed tranny, and 17 inch wheels that surprisingly work well with the car
It's well under the weight you're looking for too, since I think it's about 2300.... And the handling is great, but will become awesome when you start to dive into the aftermarket... Mazdaspeed already has some good stuff out for it....

Batman recommends an Old School NSX, now my problem would be the financing for it.

The C5 meets/beats all his requirements, and you can pick one up for about 25k in good condition that some old guy had traded after his midlife crisis was over.
I can't think of any other car that'll fit his criteria without some sort of modification. I hope no one mentions the Mustang, because they don't handle very well, at least not from my experience.

FD rules if it's a weekend driver. I surely wouldn't buy one for my daily driver.
C5 Corvette is just about better than the FD in every practical category.

Talk about an exaggeration...
There are a ton of Camry's, Accords, etc. on the road. C5's aren't a rare site, but they surely aren't common either.

Rousch Mustangs are rare. I've never seen any for sale except brand new at dealerships with tons of markup. I've never seen any south of 30k, except the V6 models with the ugly kit and exhaust on the sides.

Thanks for the recommendations the C5 sounds very tempting, now I need to find one in the area to test drive.

Mustangs serve their genre of drivers very well. If you want a nice V8 with gobbs of power on tap and okay handling, it's just fine.

Now just imagine the look on their face when a FD with a double decker 70" wide wing ricer rapes them in the straights and on the turn.........
Mustang drivers will race pedestrians or anything that moves .....
