In the U.S. a CPA is the highest certification of accountancy that you can receive. It is far different than an MBA, since CPA certification focuses solely on accounting practice. An MBA is more of a total business degree, high level econ, finance, accounting, stats, operations, marketing, strategy, etc. Many MBA's who focused in accounting go on to get their CPA, or already have it before pursuing an MBA.
CFA and CMA are also comparable certifications, but CPA is generally regarded as the top.

My advice is this: find something that you can see yourself doing, that you will be relatively good at and that pays well. If you are able to find something that fits these three criteria than you'll probably end up okay. If you can find something that also offers you some flexibility (like accounting in my case) then even better. After high school, dreams of the perfect job should really be put to bed. There's nothing wrong with pursuing the things that make you happy but sometimes we need to realize that this can be done outside of a career.

Working with something that you really enjoy may wear out quick. Especially when you're the type of person who gets bored fast. Just becareful in what you pick.

Either way, this place has been the same 9 douchebags posting stupid bullshit day after day, and it is boring as hell. Some girl joins up and starts posting pictures of herself and rather than enjoy the fact that something fairly interesting is happening in this otherwise dead lounge, people are being fags. I could give a shit one way or the other, but the next time someone finds themselves wondering why this forum is so fucking dead all the time, just think back to this.

I dunno.... I love working with electronics and i'm good at it. I've been working in the business for many years now and there's still a lot of places I can go with it. I think the difference is finding something you're good at and enjoy doing for work and keeping the other things you enjoy as hobbies. I don't think I could ever replace my electronics job with rodeo; as much as I enjoy it, it just doesn't make sense financially or for my future. I'll stick with ridin bulls as a weekend hobby.
