Can you get listeria if you didnt actually eat the cantaloupe, but just put holes in it and had extended contact for about 10-15 minutes?

Just saying, I'm a little worried.

Yes its possible to get sick by just touching cantaloupe with listeria, always keep your hands clean. Many people do get sick from not washing hands.
