The libs have had a tight grip on this country for years. Only recently have the Conservatives been able to gain any ground. The libs had both the houses for 40 damn years straight. Libs have controll of almost all the colleges. The libs had the media totally locked up until "RUSH" in the mid 90s broke through on the forgotten AM Dial. And only since the Election in 2000 with the Florida debacle did Fox news really get big.

Jennings was a very good anchor because he was, if anything, a moderate. Remember: the news is only as liberal as the corporation that funds it.
Some interesting things that would have been much bigger stories if liberals were in charge: Iran-Contra, the hypocracy of trading with China while we villify Cuba, and why is it that the Big Three, icons of American industry, are sending all their jobs to Mexico?
Noam Chomsky would be a regular panelist, instead of a little known professor at MIT.
Neither the Democrats or the Republicans would be in power. To think that there is any sort of contrast between silver-spoon corporate whores shows a lack of education and comprehension. Not to mention that the corporate lobby structure would be torn down, capital punishment would be banned outright, and a flat tax system would have been adopted. Note that the deficit would not have changed, because all politicians are fiscal idiots. We need an accountant to run for president.
As a liberal I can tell you that the news does not represent myself. The T.V. news is geared for the same audience that reads the Wallstreet Journal: white, upper to middle class, urban professionals. Who may not be as conservative as Rush, whom I acknowledge as a propaganda genius for convincing people that there is a liberal agenda controlling the country, but are no more liberal than John McCain.
