I'd say a porsche 928,
just remember to look for the S4 or S, they have a stronger motor stock. *For general info on the motors the 92-95 928 is a 360, the 85-91's were 303s, pre 84 base models were smaller with less horsepower, and in 85 the US model 928 S came with a DOHC and 288hp, in 1980 came fuel injection.
Porsche made a 928, 928 S, 928 S4, 928gt, and a 928GTS (euro only...emmissions).
Significant body changes in 87, other than that no major body changes in the entire production.
Three problems with 928s
1) the market for 928s went bad, making demand for aftermarket parts go down, which means less competition between manufacturers and that means higher prices for parts.
2) the market also going bad means cheaper prices for the car (which actually is good for you)BUT people will buy the car and take car of it like a cheap car, not as an expensive car. Which if you're not careful you could buy a car that might give out on you as soon as you buy it.
3) The timing belt is a bitch.
You can get some serious power from a 928, much more than 500hp if you wanted. *Talk to Sean Bartsch from Broome, he drives a 944 turbo, he can tell you whatever you want to know about porsches.
