RX7_2ner 08-13-2005, 03:32 AM I just finished changing the altenator on my protege, which ended up lasting 6 hours spread over 2 days. The stupid ass bolt on the bottom decided to be a faggot and tried to make me uber pissed off at it by rounding its stupid ass head off. I think I'm gonna go teach it who owns who and beat the shit out of it. :) RoadRaceJosh 08-13-2005, 03:51 AM Gee, sounds like a good time. I should take and post more photos of my current project. The '87 RX-7 Sport is getting racier all the time. After extensive sound deadening removal I have 95% of the floor painted in Battleship gray and it looks quite good. I was going to keep the stock dash and instrument cluster as the original intent of the car was the Grass Roots Motorsports $2006 Challenge and the rules require the dash, but I completely blew the budget long ago so I'm considering making a small dash panel. Chances are I'll never take the car to the competition as I'm about 3000 miles from Florida so I'm not too worried about the rules. The budget suffered heavily when I bought new AGX dampers, new RS-R springs, new wheels and a Supra R154 tranny. I could probably make the $2006 budget if I found some cheap 16" tires for the $50 Supra wheels I found, built a cheaper motor and went with an automatic trans, but I'd hate driving the car any distance without an overdrive. |
