Let me say first off that I know the owner of this car. It is an automatic, but at his hp level that doesnt really matter. It has a full 3" dual exhaust, no cats, and the Paxton/Novi charger. He has only had it in for a few weeks now and I just heard the other day about it. Sounds mean as hell.
Anyway.....
On the way home from Darlington Wed night about 130am I came up behind him just as we got into MB on 501. I followed for a few minutes till the lanes opened up and then I got beside him and popped the Blitz in 3rd gear. I jumped on it again and pulled off from him about a half length and let off again. Pssshhhtt!!
At first he wasnt taking the bait, but then I heard him stomp it and the charger really started to whine as it spooled.
He started to pull off and he caught me when I wasnt expecting it. Thankfully, he let off too. There were a few cars ahead so we cooled it down and I got behind him. We both turned off 501 and got onto the Hwy 17 bypass southbound, going by the airport. There is a lot of construction right there, so we kept it cool till it widened out.
My adrenalin was pumping so hard hearing that blower wheezing just a car length away....
The construction ended, and we had a clear road ahead for almost a mile. Cruising along at about 50mph, I dropped it into third and waited. We were in separate lanes at this point, and he was about a length and a half behind me. I heard the kickdown and he started coming up FAST. I floored third gear and it was on! He was at my rear bumper now but I was holding my own all the way thru third gear. I hit 4th gear at 7500 and kept it to the floor. He was at my back tire on the shift but I pulled up till he was at my rear bumper again. I didnt realize it, but the far right lane was ending and he was in it. The road was empty so I switched to the left lane but he had already got out of the gas and slowed. I was about 4-5 lengths up cruising now just letting things cool off a bit.
I kept an eye on his HID look headlights and saw him coming up slowly again. We both stopped at a redlight and it is a very well lit area, so I guess we both mutually decided not to drop it from there. We pulled off slow side by side and I was wondering if he was wanting to go again. He seemed to hang back a bit so I shifted to 4th and just cruised along at about 45mph. He was inching up a little till he was at my rear tire again, and the next thing I knew, I heard the kickdown and the scream of blower in full song. It was my fault, I should have been ready. In the time that I went from 4th to 3rd and floored it, we had switched, I was now at HIS rear tire. And man was he moving! SaRa was holding her own very well though. I sat right at his rear bumper all the way thru 3rd and untill about 7000rpm in 4th when he let off. I'm guessing that we were doing about 125mph at that point. We slowed back down to the limit and he put his window down. My buddy Ryan motioned for him to pull over and we pulled into the Med Ctr front lot to talk for a minute. I left the 180 on to cool her down a bit. The exhaust/turbo was now smoking so badly that it nearly blocked out the hospital.

Enjoy..

hmm 2002 GTs are pretty fast stock plus a blower...jeez
The funny thing is, when he bought the blower..he came to me to have it installed but I am SO boked up that I couldnt do it quickly enough for him. He had some local guy do it that works out of a storage bin...LOL It works though...I can vouch for that.
I'm not dumb enough to run from a stop...my 15" street tires would not stand a chance against his 255/45/17s, even if I do turn 1.9 60fts on the track...
Oh, and the boost peak/hold on the race?? 1.20 bar...can anyone say "overboost". I set the AVCr to my B setting when I first saw him. It is actually .80 with the duty set for controlled overboost to .95...but it went a little over...all good though...plenty of fuel. No damage done and she pulled HARD.

They probably claim around "100 over stock" add 260 thats 360 at the flywheel. I guess with 15-20 percent d/t loss 306 at the wheels. An X-pipe, MAF, TB and dyno tune and he should be running pretty well. Check out this article Ill post in a min on what this '99 Auto GT is running with 100-shot.

Is it a true DMP GT-R Mustang or do you know? Dallas Mustang Performance makes a kit called a GT-R with a supercharger, suspension and more performance mods.

no, this car is definitely just a riced, pretty quick GT.
The emblems are the ones from Autozone.
