Gubment has a contract out buying up all the brass, primers, and some bullets. If you find any, but it.

There is some serious planning going on. It seems like there is something big coming up.

There are just ridiculous amounts of training and gearing up going on. It makes you wonder sometimes what's going on.

Several of my friends that are out right now and are being begged to join back up within the next month. One of them was offered $20,000 signing bonus on top of the normal signing bonus to come back in as an E5 IIRC

at least i can still get 9mm for the tec and mac 11. Its not as bad as .223 but the 7.62 39's are getting a bit harder to find also. Damn, something big must be getting ready to happen.

for USPS there's a loophole for shipping some ammo, but Cabelas ships with UPS and I would believe they use the same loophole.

other than that, what brand and caliber did you get? I plink with my Howa 1500 in .223 using Wolf 55 grain HP. some ppl complain about Wolf ammo saying that it's very dirty and smells bad when fired, I however disagree. it's some of the better .223 ammo I shot, though some ranges will not let me shoot Wolf rounds because they are bi-metal.. even the HPs.

Wolf Lacquer Coated Ammo

If you plan on using lacquer-coated ammo in your AR-15, please be aware of the following. Once the chamber in the rifles gets hot, it is melting the lacquer off of the casings, and leaving a gelatinous goo in your chamber. Under continuous fire, this is usually not noticed, but once you stop, the barrel cools, the lacquer sets and you now cannot chamber and/or properly extract your ammunition. You will experience this in AR-15's much more frequently than other rifles such as the SKS and AK/MAC variants. In most cases the 7.62x39 rifles have chambers cut to the large end of the safety spectrum so that feeding and reliability is uncompromised by the type of ammunition or the consistency of the case dimensions. AR style rifles have tighter chambers so that you can experience a greater level of accuracy that these rifles are capable of performing.

DO NOT USE LACQUER COATED AMMO. Otherwise, be prepared for the consequences. Additionally, most lacquer-coated ammo utilizes steel cases instead of brass. BAD FOR YOUR CHAMBER.

The Consequences: Poor feeding, poor extraction, poor accuracy, and an impossible to clean chamber possibly resulting in a rifle that simply does not work.

I have had zero problems firing Wolf ammo.

But you're in CA. Which means you don't have an AR-15 or the ability to shoot more than 10 rounds at a time. So that above statement really doesn't apply to you.

I did get the cheap wolf stuff and i do fire way way more than 10 at a time. Thanks for laquer coated information. I guess ill just be careful not to get it to hot and thats not much fun

If you do get one fucked up. I have used a chamber brush on a rod with a drill hooked up to it. That's the only way you can clean them.

You mean a full case for $45... How many rounds per case?
