It hit over 4 dollars a gallon for gas here last week, its 4.04 for regular now. Now all of a sudden theres a load of stuff in the newspaper about alternative energy, homesteading, electric cars etc etc. We had a customer come into our shop the day after with information on a hydrogen cell for his car, he wants us to put one in. Even my dad mentioned buying a moped to scoot around town. Has the time finally come for an energy revolution?

People here seem to have not been affected. The majority here drives luxury SUVs that get 13mpg highway . . . if you drive it really nice.

damn near $5 a gallon for diesel here, went up over $0.60 the week before memorial day. My ass there isn't price fixing going on with the big oil companies.

What it is going to take, in my not so humble opinion, is for the cocksuckers on capital hill to be out of a fucking job. This means a complete change in the government, not some half assed "Lets go green." excuse me while I go puke.

There will be no change unless it is drastic, our economy will keep limping along and we will keep taking it up the ass while the despots and CEO's sit on their thrones getting richer by the day.

Sure, some of you people that live on the islands or in the cities can go to alternate energy sources. But for those of us that live in the middle of fucking nowhere we have no other options. Point out one 100% non-fossil fuel powered vehicle that can get me 300+ miles with a minimum of fuckups and headaches.

don't know about the big diesel trucks, my fuel bill is about $90 ever other week, I try not to drive too much right now.

A friend of mine does $120 a week in his 2500 Dodge w/ cummins.

My boss paid $3000 in fuel costs this past month. He is forced to drive a 6 ton dodge 3500, and we need to go all around the state and surrounding states to get to the tower sites. I have a 45 mile drive to his place too. Sucks.

gas is over $5 here, diesel and premium nearly $6.

It's about 3.50 here. Doesn't bother me too much since I get a little over 50 mpg. :) I drove my jeep for the first time in WEEKS the other day. It was weird.

I get 45MPG with my bike, but it still irks me to no end when it takes $13-14 bucks to fill my tank instead of $3!

I'm getting closer to $80 fillups... lasts me a little over a week :(

Next summer i'll probably get a bike... 50mpg ftw...

it's over £5 (approx $10) a gallon now here in england for unleaded and about half a dollar more a gallon for diesel.

i have to drive to college there aint no buses, it's about 14 miles each way.

my old rover 200 does about 35 to 40 miles to the gallon depending on traffic.

No. I have noticed a lot of car pooling going on though.

3.97 was the most here in town for unleaded. Diesel is almost 5. Up north it was 4.26 when we got there and 4.19 when we left yesterday.

My little suzuki is getting approx 55mpg and it is almost 30 years old.

i think you only got the big rovers over in the states, mine is a baby rover, this is my baby's little 1.4ltr engine. it will do about 46 mpg on a good run down the motorway, (sorry freeway) at legal speed limit.

it was a good weekend on the ZX-10R: 40 mpg and 120 mph :)
