There are two of these sitting on a town close to mine.

I've always liked the look of them and they have been there for EVER!.

Anyway, I've been thinking about a V8 project, so I thought I might make an offer on one or both of them.

These things aren't worth the insane money that other cars from the same era are.......are they?

They aren't as popular as Chevy II's or Mustangs or Camaros, but they will still cost you a decent amount to start, unless they are seriously fucked up.

4 of the 5 voices in my head say go for it.

I guess I'm gonna have to go talk to the guy.

I doubt either of them run, and in my head I wouldn't want to pay more than about $1500 for a non running car.

Does $1500 sound like a lowball offer on a non rusty, non running farlane?

That might be a tad low. While they aren't as popular as some of the other cars, they do still command a pretty penny.

On a similar topic: one of my coworkers has a Fairlane 500 Fastback. It looks sweet.

my buddy has a 66 fairlane GT390 with the factory 4 speed. he bought it approx. 5 years ago for $16,000. I thought that was expensive, he said it was about $5,000 cheaper than any others he looked at. so theyre worth some money to the right people.
