I believe that the current candidates are avoiding this topic, at least they are skirting the issue. This should be addressed especially since 52% are for letting illegal immigrants stay - somehow. I think most have helped bring money into the states where they live and it would be better to help them get papers so they could pay on taxes get drivers license which makes it where they would have car insurance.
There is a lots of misguided trash talk about how they are taking jobs away from US citizens but like I said that is uneducated garbage. Another way to say it is that those people that think that are informed by the biased and truly misinformed.

Misinformed? Maybe you're just a biased fucking foreigner? Hows that for hitting the nail on the head Apu? Construction jobs are the perfect example. I see Mexican construction crews daily, because they're agreeing to work for much less than Americans will. THAT is how jobs are being taken, and THAT is how our economy is going to fuck itself.

So what's the solution? IMO...

1: Seal the Mexican border. Be real about it, this is where the majority of illegal immigrants are coming from.

2: Fine the living shit and start pulling business licenses from people that hire illegal immigrants... if there wasn't money here, they wouldn't come. These small business owners are to blame for this entire mess.

3: As Hillary said, offer them amnesty/citizenship, IF they agree to pay back-taxes. Or, we can just sell it to them for a higher price, I'm all for that.

4: FairTax... then you don't have to fuckin worry about it at a federal level.

Let's say somebody gets found out to be an illegal. They have ONE year to get their citizenship and become official members of our wonderful society.

If they don't do it, they are booted. And can NEVER have a chance at citizenship again, ever.

Thankfully Fox is out of there and Calderon seems like he wants to clean the country up. I have said for a while the best solution is to not try and kick them all out but to make them not want to come here in the first place.

That being said I am all for helping to support Mexicos' economy since in the long run it is going to benefit us.

You know who are really the biggest group of illegals? THE CHINESE. And we cannot send them back. When they are caught, they are held for 90 days. China now has to take them back. I think Zero did a good job highlighting the specifics on this issue, that often seem to be overlooked, or not mentioned.

The biggest problem, as I see it, is that we will never keep people out of this country. No matter how hard we try, or how many companies are fined, illegals will be here. But, as stated, if we can come down hard on people turning a bind eye to it, I think it will help reduce the amount of illegal workers.

Have you ever worked in a job where the person that might just save your life is a no-speaker and therefore can't get the help that would be needed to save your life because they don't know how to communicate without their handlers? Thats right, handlers. Just like at the zoo. You have one guy that speaks both english and spanish fluently that runs a crew of 10-12 no-speakers. He is the only one they listen to, and he is the only one that even tries.

I love it when they assign one to me, because then it goes something like:

"Do you have all of the paperwork filled out?"
"Si." *headnod*
"Where is it?"
"Si." *headnod*
"I asked where is it."
"Si." *headnod*
"Do you understand what I'm saying?"
"Si." *headnod*
"Then where the fuck is the paperwork?"
"Si." *headnod with grin since you swore at them*
"Where is your supervisor?"
"Si." *headnod*

so on and so forth until you find their handler and tell them to get you a speaker rather then a no-speaker.

Then there are the days that the no-speakers come to ask you to do work for their company. It goes something similar as above, but even worse because they were sent with specific instructions to tell us where we need to go but by the time they get there they can't remember.

Thats the way it always was before and its the way it still is today. Once every six months or so all the no-speakers get fired for not complying with the customer's contractual obligations that all employees understand and are fluent in english. Then two or three weeks later they are all back on the job again.


So once again I say; if they can't at least speak basic english they deserve a bullet.

What really grinds my gears is when you're, let's just say at the mall. You see a little Mexican family wanderng around, everybody's talking in Spanish. No. You teach the kid English, that's what they should speak all the time. It's a bad subculture, like ebonics, but closer to English.

The small business guys are the only ones that are going through any effort at all to verify the motherfuckers they are hiring. Its all the large contract firms that bring in the wetback no-speakers by the fucking buss load.

Another thing that gets my goat, is at my other job, troops of teens traveling the stores floors speaking Spanish. They're in their teens, and I know they aren't straight from Mexico. They've been here for some time. But no. Bullshit.
