Imagine the glare you'd get off of that thing on a sunny day. You probably couldn't even see through your windshield because your hood would be so bright.

Before I even embarked on the monochromatic all black look (oops, I used that word.... black) people were clowning that idea.

Trust me, I can make it look good.

The Bimmer pics that were floating around looked really nice, but i'm not feeling the Porsche or the MR2. Maybe the pics don't do them much justice.

The stock lamps on that MR2 don't help much either. Yellow/Red tails + that paint = hideous.

I was acutally thinking about paiting the rustang chrome and having a black hood.

This is when I was single and had money to burn....and was crazy as hell.

I would hate for a "chrome" car to be in front of me on a bright sunny clear day.

A buddy of mine that grew up in Glendale, CA during the 50s/60s (class of '66) calls that shit Mexican chrome. Paint an F150 with that shit, put in on some 15x10" wire wheels and park it in San Diego. Wouldn't be 12 hours until it was across the border.

I have been looking for a paint that would bring attention to my car for illstreet. Basically crazy paint would do the trick. I liked the M3. I think the difference between the m3 and these cars is the photography and prep. The porsche needs to clean their windows and the mr2 just needs a better camera. $450 will buy a quart of their kit. That includes: Quart Kit includes:
1 Quart - MirraChrome
1 Quart - Speed Clear
8 oz. - Speed Clear Hardener
1 Quart - Black Basecoat
1 Quart Reducer
1 Polishing Cloth

and that is the retail price. It may be worth a shot just to see how it turns out. I am going to photoshop it a bit once I get all my apps reinstalled.

First off, you would get some asshole who would scratch it just because. Second, the cops would be on you like white on rice simply because the sun would reflect off of it and cause distraction.

Not worth the hassle.

I had a couple of pictures of Jaguars that were painted like that, but I don't know wtf they are now. Too bad, too because they were done properly. The had a professional photographer do the pics and they set them up with these beautiful backgrounds that bounced off the cars quite well. I'll do a search.

batman's FD looks great with those rims painted black. but havent seen good pictures of his car with the shorter wing.
