I was wondering if anyone has ever invested money into the PayPal Money Market? Its had a 7 day average yield of 2.88% as of 04/03/2008. However they aren't Federally Insured. I usually keep a little bit of money in PayPal for Ebay purchases/sales and figured what the hell might as well earn a return on it. Any thoughts?

2.88% return in 7 days is awesome but like you said no FDIC sucks. I'm sure if you take that money and go on e-Trade you can find better returns though. I'm thinking of taking a gamble on the American Auto Market by investing in Ford and GM stock. Both were dirt cheap last time I checked and they can only go bankrupt or take off. I think I checked out Ford Motor stock last month and it was 8 bucks a share.

Definitely a gamble but who knows?

On the topic of online trading, I had an account with Scottrade and closed it about a year ago. Who are you guys using and what are they charging per trade?

I am thinking about the paypal MM too. Surely someone has played with it. I usually have 5-10,000 in paypal from orders. A little return on that would be nice.

Hoods must be a good business to be in.

I suspect body kits are better to be in. I can't seem to break into the market though. I'm about to drop lots of money getting my site redesigned because its obviously over my head.

The whole stock market is a gamble. Save your money. I have lost so much money on the stock market this year, that if end up paying taxes, I will be extremely happy.

I bought some shares, and I hope that next year will be a great year for it.

Ticker is MVIS. I think the product has some major potential. But, please understand, the company is not profitable right now. High risk, high gain.

I use the automatic plan on Sharebuilder. I have a set amount of money that is taken out of my checking account and allocated to specific stocks each month (which I set to coincide with right after I get my paycheck) and I only pay 4 bucks, which I think is pretty good. Or at least not bad. Either way I'm happy with it.

I have money in the Fidelity money market, but that's because I haven't picked what stock to buy.

It slumped to high $2s ($3.28 down to I think 2.85) after I posted it. I expected that because of the first quarter results. I kept my shares. Trading at $3.66 a share, up 28 cents (11%) from when I posted it.

They are presenting at this next week:

Something is driving the stock up. All I have heard is rumors.

How much is Fidelity charging for stock buy? I know that Scot Trade charges $7 for each trade (buy or sell).
