We just saw it yesterday at the IMAX. It was awesome. Ledger might get an Oscar posthumously for that, and it would be well deserved, not pity. He was truly awesome.

A) I'm sick of him, and B) I want an unknown to do it. Every time I'd see Depp, I'd be thinking of Scissorhands, Jack Sparrow, etc. Ledger was an unlikely choice, and was fucking brilliant.

Also, I don't want to see The Riddler, The Penguin, or Catwoman right away. Let's see some of the other villains... There's so many to choose from.

Like who though, Mr. Freeze? I guess they could go Frank Miller style and have the villians be a bunch of mutants.

They had already said there was no Harley Quinn in this movie. I don't know if they'll ever bring her in, might be too campy. It's kinda hard to have Harley Quinn when the Joker was so nasty. Silly Joker = OK to have Harley Quinn. Impaling pencil into head Joker = No Harley Quinn.
