what i bolded is a load of shit you can not claim it every year, you have up to 26 weeks of the baby being born or in adoption comes into care to claim it, it is a once off payment that has been around for the last 5 years and will actually be abolsihed in favour of a 26 week paid maternity leave program (because our jobs don't give us paid maternity leave unless your earning over $100,000 gran a year
