well you all know about mikes wreck on our little tour of the mountains today.
about 3 hours ago i dowshifted from 4th to 3rd and i think the trans tried to select 1st and 3rd at the same time causing 3rd gear to loose all of its teeth, so now i have a semi-wide ratio 4 speed.
car wil either recieve a TKO (rated to withstand 450lbft) or a street/strip AODE. i refuse to put another stock transmission in that thing. i am really pulling for the TKO but if it comes down to stocker or auto i'll go auto

The t-56 is quite a bit more expensive than the TKO. But, as long as we are dreaming, why not make it a Viper spec T-56?

That really sucks about tearing the teeth out, any suggestions on why the trans. wanted to go to 1st at the same time? whats the cost of the TKO vs. the AODE? your right about not putting a stock trans in it...aftermaket parts rule! <img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
always better performance...hope things work out, 4 speeds suck, i know, and 3 speeds are worse, never get a 3 speed, no top end, and sucks gas.....

the "ford" spec T56 is about $500-600 over the cost of the tko and only holds up to 400lbft (vs 425lbft) the viper spec is about a $2500+ transmission. the other problem is that it requires a shorter driveshaft... so more parts to change out.
