Cosby 07-25-2005, 11:57 AM I'm troubleshooting an FC that sat a long time. It won't accelerate past secondary injector activation. It just backfires and won't move until you let off and it switches back to just primary. Also, the car starts fine but then won't idle cold. Idle is a little low and unstable at op temp. The TPS is good and set properly. I've seen this before when there is a bad thermosensor and heard of stuck injectors causing this. Any other thoughts? SpartanTS 07-25-2005, 12:32 PM I've had this a similar problem in my Prelude. When my thermosensor was bad, the lockup converter would not engage, resulting in horrific gas mileage and a CEL. Very annoying. I know next to nothing about rotary engined cars, but i'm sure others will come and give their input. Cosby 07-25-2005, 03:35 PM Turned out to be stuck secondary injectors. It is running flawlessly now. MrBob 08-03-2005, 11:28 PM I had the same problem with my TII. The secondarys where full of rust from the gas tank which reuined the secondary injectors. It was like hitting a rev limiter at 3800rpm. felixwankel88 08-05-2005, 11:01 PM thermowax and injectors could be the problem, send the injectors to cruizin and get a new thermowax derek1987 01-03-2006, 10:20 PM I know if you have a loose thermosensor plug....that car can run like shit at times. |
