Most people were of the opinion that it was ugly as sin.
Well, I bought it anyway and have made some modifications.
First I got rid of the shitty 2" single exhaust in favor of dual 2.5" pipes running through a pair of Flowtech Red Hots ($18 apiece).
I also put in an Equus gauge cluster to replace some of the usless warning lights in the dash. I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge, a voltmeter, and a mechanical temp. gauge. If anyone knows where I can find a small tachometer for relatively cheap I'm still looking for one to stick in the dash above the stereo.
Then I threw together a stereo system from some speakers I had lying around my garage. Up front I have a pair of vintage Mitsubishi five-inchers, and some non-name brand tweeters. In the back I have an 850 watt Boss amp with 2 8" Rockford Fosgate subs, with plans to make a proper box and add a pair of X-plod 6 by 9s (still sitting in my garage). The head unit is an old Pioneer 4x50 watt unit, my only complaint is the small buttons. The mounting bracket for it was fabbed together with an old road sign and an angle grinder, so its kind of crooked. I used a Dremel to cut out the dash.
I wired it all up myself. Total cost for all of the above, about $120. My buddy calls it "The ultimate rat-rod."
Cliff notes: I did stuff.
