its a single speed.
Also, how does one determine what size frame they need anyway?

Also, how does one determine what size frame they need anyway? BATMAN 03-15-2006, 01:47 PM Try this titanium bike. VERY light. http://www.litespeed.com/images/2006/mb_niotati.jpg Or the Cannondale Prophet ( it uses a bible for a bike stand): http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/06/CUSA/spec/6ve4kgzd.jpg Or a Santa Cruz if ur into going downhill: http://www.santacruzmtb.com/v10/v10.jpg Supper 03-15-2006, 01:49 PM meh. I looked at the Ti bikes, but really can't justify spending more then $2,000 on a bike right now. The downhillers are nice, but that Santa Cruz is nothing compaired to the ones I was drooling over at the Deer Valley national downhill competitions last year (happened to be working on the ski area the day the prelims were running). and the single speed caught my eye for two reasons: 1) simplicity. 2) it will work my ass off and hopefully help me drop some poundage. BATMAN 03-15-2006, 04:04 PM I think there is more value is spending $1k on a used bike than $3k on a new bike. Just imagine what u might get for $2k on a used bike. www.craigslist.com www.ebay.com Supper 03-15-2006, 04:06 PM eh. most of the used bikes in this region are being sold for a reason. Which means you would spend a whole shitload trying to get them "rideable" again. Say No To Pistons 03-15-2006, 05:09 PM damn my POS bike i brought from toy r' us is a totaly POS compared to these!! BATMAN 03-15-2006, 05:16 PM There are alot of people that spend their dear $$$ on a bike because of the new years resolution, only to find out that after 3 weeks of it, too busy with work, family, etc., they just loose interest. So net net, the bike has "depreciated" with minimal to no use. Furthermore, it could have been a gift, or someone gave them something better and more expensive. Nonetheless, $2000 for a used bike is ALOT of bike. BATMAN 03-15-2006, 05:19 PM heck, u might have left over $$$$ to upgrade parts like suspension and seat. BTW, I have a really good gel saddle that have dual springs in them. VERY comfortable. Used for 1 month, but got a bike with another gel saddle. I'll sell it to ya for $40 shipped. No rips or tears. like new. Supper 03-15-2006, 05:24 PM okay :batman: your mission is to find me a Moots Uno YBB for less then $2k then :wiggle: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a303/Sup1661/Work%20Safe/b65e3587.jpg (http://www.moots.com/bicycle.php?ID=6) |
