the whole lawsuit thing is stupid... i dont like bittorent cause it takes too darn long to download crap. i just use limewire

I was having an interesting discussion about downloading using things like torrents and file sharing programs. In my case, I'm using torrents for learning purposes. I've downloaded several e-books that have helped me learn a lot over the past couple of months. I'm pretty proficient in Java now because of books that i've dowloaded. In addition, i've also downloaded Cisco books that will help me achieve my goal of getting my CCNP by May '05.

There's a good and bad side to everything. Surely there is no way to justify dowloading books that I can buy from a bookstore. But when the internet is at your disposal for essentially "free" learning, why not use it?

As soon as I can find a torrent for downloading MCSE software, i'll be a very happy camper.
