I was going to post pictures but I can't find either on my laptop, and I'm sure everyone here knows what an FD looks like anyways.

white FD > black FD anyday

CYM FD > Any Color FD

I would go for white just because black is high maintenance paint and it looks like shit IMO if it's not perfect.

I have a white truck and it's a bitch to keep clean... although black shows dirt just as bad. (two colors of dirt, each attracted to opposite color, etc etc). Either way.

What colour is the interior?

Maroon. Both my Tornado Silver Mica and my white FB's have the maroon interior. The only reason my Tornado Silver Mica FB isn't the one I claimed is because the mechanical problems involved in the car are too dominant to claim for now. I've currently got it for sale, but if no one buys it soon I'll end up doing an engine swap, and fix everything wrong with it later on down the road. Its time to do a streetported 12a turbo setup on my white FB for now.

I had a white FB with maroon interior as well, still do actually, but I painted it warm grey to better match the interior... turned out pretty nice.

My favorite color that FB's came in was the Tornado Silver Mica. Absolutely love it. That is why I bought my first one. I bought it several years ago, came automatic, bought a five speed, bought all kinds of stuff for it, and everything I would think I got one kink worked out of it, something else would happen. I had to fix different parts of the braking system three different times, and the fourth time something went out on them I said to hell with it. Parked it, tore the oil-leaking engine out of it, dropped the transmission out of, tore the dry rotted interior out of it, and started trying to sell the spare parts to it. I came across my white FB for half the cost of my first one, bought it, and had the starter go out of it, but other than that absolutely no problems at all (it had a five speed from the factory, so no swap needed). That is - until I got stupid, and did the seafoam treatment to it without thinking about changing oil for the first few days, and before I knew it the engine was toast.

The engine from the first FB is completely tore apart now with a rebuild kit, just waiting the transfer to my new house to finish the rebuild. After engine break in, clutch break in, then it'll be time for me to collect pieces for a turbo setup on it.

And I'm completely sorry for threadjacking.

I think it depends on your cars situation.

If its stuck outside in the sun and can't be babied. Go for white.

If you have garage and able to care for the paint. Go for black.

Maroon interior would look good in any color.

I always liked black FDS better... white ones look like miatas with better wheels.

Nobody has thought to ask.. How much money are you wanting to spend? Going from a black car to white requires a LOT of extra work. To do it right, the engine has to be pulled, every last bit of molding has to be removed, etc. I like black better anyway.

I would stick with the factory color. It is pretty rare to see a color change come off clean all over in the little cracks and hard to get to places.
