For those who don't know shit about the story and just are going off of his words alone, this story would look like the tar and feathering of a man who has done no wrong (or at least wasn't allowed to do any wrong before he could sell off Obama's senate seat.) However, his impeachment goes FAR beyond just this one incident. In fact, this impeachment is the result of a 3 YEAR investigation. And once you know the backstory, it's clear that he's outright lying to everyone in order to garner some sort of support from the ignorant masses who haven't been keeping up with the story. Even his own attorney quit his case, since Blago refused to listen to any of his council. # After almost a week of taped conversations showing Blagojevich to be concerned about his family's financial well-being, on Nov. 11, he lashed out at the President-elect in a recorded talk with Harris: "They’re not willing to give me anything except appreciation. [expletive] them."

# As talks heated up throughout November, on Dec. 4, Blagojevich allegedly spoke to someone labeled Advisor B about a person named Senate Candidate 5: "We were approached ‘pay to play.’ That, you know, he’d raise me 500 grand. Later that day, Blagojevich was recorded saying he had "elevated" Senate Candidate 5 on the list for the open seat. You hear me?"

The saddest thing about all of this bullshit for me is that I think this guy genuinely believes anything he says about himself and his involvement. It's as if he's lied so much to people that it's become his own reality.

It's people like him that make us quesiton our government.
