The bible.

Yeah, I know that's not what you're asking for.

What kinds of books are you into?
Read Snowcrash yet?

no, I haven't even heard of it.. what is it?

I've only recently gotten back into reading after high school completely demolished my enjoyment of it.. I've mainly been sticking to stuff that's easy to get through and that I feel I should have read by now. I just finished A Clockwork Orange.. The Shining, 1984, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest before that.. apparently I'm into books that have become movies :P I like scifi a lot, but more like, the social sort of scifi.. 1984, Brave New World, Bradbury, etc

I just finished 2001. I am always reading the Mountaineers Guide, its just so dense with information.

Some of the books I can't get sick of:
-black hawk down
-six silent men(or anything about lrp/lrrps/rangers in vietnam)
-Ben Bova(the grand tour series)
-The moon is a harsh mistress
-starship troopers
-robots dream of electric sheep

You read Ender's Game at all? Personally, I was indifferent about it, but a lot of people who like a nice scifi read enjoyed it. I should try reading it again...

Brave New World I did enjoy though.

I used to pick mainly from the horror/mystery genre when I was in high school, but I've recently picked up a few fantasy-based books by R.A. Salvatore. I never considered myself one to get caught up in the likes of elves and whatnot, but Salvatore writes so well, it doesn't even matter.

All time fav though:
The Kushiel's series by Jacqueline Carey. It's not hardcore fantasy. Just a touch. Beautifully written and the characters are absolutely captivating...especially that Melisande...

R.A. Salvatore is an excellent author, I read a lot of his books when I was younger.

C.S. Freidman does a very good Sci-Fi/Fantasy trilogy called The Coldfire Trilogy.

Frank Herbert. Queen, if you're into Sci-Fi than you MUST read the Dune series.

I'm currently re-reading The Wheel of Time to pass the time/boredom at work.

Piers Anthony is a good author, I used to love his Xanth series of books when I was younger. LOT's of puns and a clever sense of humor. They should classify as childrens novels, so they will be very easy to read and get through.

Bio of a Space Tyrant is another series by Piers Anthony that is pretty decent.

I get waaaayyyyyy too much cold, hard, reality at work. So when I read for pleasure I tend to focus on anything but reality.. That being said, I also read way too much and have probably been through just about every decent sci-fi/fantasy series in my 25 years. I tend to remember just about anything I read, so if you've got questions... I'd be more than happy to explain as I can

I just finished reading Peter F Hamilton's "Judas Unchained". Now I'm reading the sequel "The Dreaming Void". The first book of the series is "Pandora's Star". Very good reading. :bigthumb:

Atlas Shrugged.

Every single person alive should read that book at least once in their lifetime.
