Cosby 06-29-2007, 03:13 AM yay :) 01 xr200r http://www.theforumlounge.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2165&stc=1&d=1183101187 http://www.theforumlounge.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2166&stc=1&d=1183101201 Say No To Pistons 06-29-2007, 04:58 AM You get a cookie. Supper 06-29-2007, 10:58 AM heh, 200R? bah, why not run with the men instead of the boys and get a 650R? rxtasy 06-29-2007, 12:09 PM another? so u have 2 now? Cosby 06-29-2007, 12:36 PM XR is easier for maintenance and bulletproof. With a pipe and the suspension adjusted properly it'll be plenty of bike for what I want to do. Supper 06-29-2007, 12:40 PM XR is easier for maintenance and bulletproof. heh. Not really. A CR250 is the easiest to maintain of any dirtbike out there IMO. My XR has been down for three weeks now because of some issue that I can't figure out. A CR, all you have to do is swap out a top end and your good to go. Cosby 06-29-2007, 12:42 PM You obviously have a newer xr. What year is it? Supper 06-29-2007, 12:47 PM You obviously have a newer xr. What year is it? 2005 XR650R, liquid cooled. I don't need to hear the "Air cooled is more reliable" bs, I had an 83 XR500R that shit the bed too. But that was more because of age, hours, and lack of parts available anymore. Cosby 06-29-2007, 03:39 PM it's widely known the new xrs suck due to all the extra crap they added. Supper 06-29-2007, 04:35 PM it's widely known the new xrs suck due to all the extra crap they added. 650R's? Not that I've seen, and I talk with guys that do thousands of miles a year in Baja, where this bike was purpose built for. The only failures that I know of (as in my case) are from adding aftermarket crap to the 650. But, I don't have any experience with any of the other XR line so can't speak on them. Sure you aren't thinking about the CRF-X line? Those ones are the ones you hear of being plagued with all the problems. |
