Got a great deal on a 73 Chevy RV with 69k miles. Bought it last night. It looks like one of the windows was left open for a year and one wall is pretty rotten. Anyone know how to replace a wall in one of these? I'm a little put off by the fact that it's wood.

im thinking the wood is screwed into sheet metal studs.
Hire your local handyman. Let him expose himself to the mold.

I hope it was for $1.

It doesn't smell moldy or musky or anything inside. It's weird. You'd never know the damage was there if the previous owner hadn't pointed it out.

Remember to look out for what lurks at those rest stops....

O' course, it wont smell till you disturb it. Then you die.

Reverse engineer it, then make CF panels, because that would be sweet.

My dad rebuilt a pop up we got for free, two years ago. It wasn't easy and it was a pop up, I can't imagine a full RV to be easier.

Its like a house. I mean it's framed and has a lot of the same stuff. Too bad I don't know shit about building a house.

^ahahahahha.

We do need more truckers on this forum. If you advertise the pron section on your RV they'll surely check it out.....

Paint it yellow with black lettering and all kinds of random carbon fiber crap.

Wear a fedora while driving it.

Wear a fedora while driving it.

This is an absolutely fantastic idea...

^ As the resident trucker, I feel like I should comment on this. I've never heard half of those terms. Some of the ones in use I didnt even see on there, like meat wagon. Oddly everyone gets a southern accent on a CB.

I need to put my CB in my 7, now that I'm slip seating the damn thing doesnt do me any good. The one I got peaked and tuned its reaching about the limits a cobra 29 can do.
