heh, caps are fun... but AC > DC when it comes to "tasers" though.

Initial design... just my thoughts, on pdf. DC supply drives a 555 timer to generate AC. Q1 used as voltage amplifier, then through xformer to amplify voltage further. The output is a high-frequency, high-voltage, low-current signal at the output. Touching the signal side alone will result in a mild electrical shock, touching both will provide quite a tingle.

I take no responsibility for what you do with this, and I can't guarantee it'll work.

If you want to really power it up for short bursts, throw a capacitor (like hte one in a disposable camera) at the collector of Q1 and ground the (-) side, charge that capacitor when the enable switch (you'd have to throw in a DPDT switch in there) is off.

disposable cameras can own people.


when I was like 13 I took the front of one that was "done" off and figured out how to zap people with it, it was awesome.
