So, all you hunters out there, what are your plans for this season?

I drew out for three Antelope tags, so that's pretty much three animals in the freezer right there.

If I get time off work probably going to hit the deer and elk seasons as well, probably at least elk.

I just want to get a hog and maybe a turkey.

Just got my Outback tuned and been practicing every day. Takes a little getting used to as the axle-to-axle is shoooort.. I've got to really watch my 30+yard concentration..

Other than that- plan to whitetail hunt every chance I get. I can bag 6 total this year (combined). I need 4 in the freezer for a year.

May also go boar hunting (bow) in GA in February. My friend whacked this brutus last year:

Damn Tom

We don't have any wild hogs up here, and I didn't bother trying to draw for big horn sheep, mountain goat, bison, or any of the others. Did try for moose but didn't get it :(

Tom, you doing all your hunting with the bow? Different bow then the one you tagged that fox with?

AmishBoy, what kind of weapon you hunt with?

for the Antelope I'll be using a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 chambered in .243.

Deer, probably the same. For elk it will either be a .300 WSM or a .45-70, possibly the .280.

I want to start bowhunting soon though...

I have an old 20 gauge single shot I use for everything. A slug for the hog and shot for the turkey's. All of my other weapons are people killers.

I've had a browning compound bow for the longest time. My intention was to switch from the 30-6 to the bow for white tail but it never happened. Instead, it has collected dust. Maybe I'll give it a shot for primitive weapons season here in south carolina.

Try all bow this year. This fox was shot through with my old Golden Eagle (very trusty and dependable bow)

I was practicing around 3p.m. on the back-side of my yard when my coonhound came out of the brush with this fox attached to her jowls.

I yelled at the dog to turn on it (which she did) and she ran the fox to the lane I was shooting in. The fox stopped and turned to face my dog, and I drilled it and pinned it to the dirt.

The fox spun around on the arrow, and I drilled it again.

The fox turned out to rabid, my dog had to be quarantined, and now I have 24/365 open season on the bastards.
