He used the last of our cash to buy a pinto, no shit, and we traded in a gremlin that was leaking oil all over the place because the engine had blown. He had no cash in his wallet. When we were driving home my dad noticed that we had no gas to make it home. Mind you these were the days where there were no credit cards or ATMs just cash and checks. When we were driving off the lot, this literally was a 'used cars' lot, we started searching for change between the seats. We found about $5 of change in it, and got enough gas for the rest of the week. No crap, I remember how happy my dad was that that happened.... |
