Spent the weekend in Charleston. Isle of Palms... decent, but the beach and entire city smelled like complete shit... the locals blamed it on paper mills. Also, the absolute worst driving I've ever seen in the sense of slow driving. "Dirty south" ghettos are quite odd too... even this far north they're completely different. As far as the white trash factor... holy shit, I always preferred the south but I'm beginning to think this area is a good mixture... most people have teeth here and shower. I'm also considering investing in cigarettes and beer now. Chicks I was with also commented several times about how clothing styles there was 2 years behind us... and they got "OMG ITS GIRLS" jaws dropping everywhere as if females aren't allowed there. I snickered as I thought of you guys. :D

Kept my eyes out for a pink FD on the way back when going through Charlotte... didn't see him, but the downtown section of Charlotte looks nice from 77/85. I'm going to ride down one day and check out that big mall where bass pro shops is... looked nice.

I got attacked by a crab at the beach while sleeping... and I actually had a hat stolen. Lol.

P.S.... I'll be in tidewater VA next week for work... I don't think anyone is from there right?

I was thinking Charlotte was further... only 3 hours though. I may be coming back through there in a couple of weekends. I don't think me riding or driving in a FD is smart... I don't feel like dropping money on an LSx, t56, hinson shit, and a chassis.

Holy crap, I was in charleston this week. My gf's family has a beach house on goat island (http://goatislandhouse.com/) (the island to the left coming onto IOP). I was at the bars and the beach at iop and sullivans all weekend and downtown charleston a lot too.

Downtown always smells horrible. I only go there at night though. If you stick to folly, isle of palms or sullivans the beaches aren't bad and it's really nice.

Wrightsville is probably my favorite beach of all time, I think it's incredibly nice. Carolina Beach is being cleaned up quite a bit as well, although it's still pretty redneck.
