czarofzar 11-01-2008, 07:19 PM Probably only when i am heavily medicated, I just can't sleep in. I do get my 7 to 8 hours of sleep in but no matter if sober or not, or went to bed early or not, I wake between 4 to 6am 1revnrex 11-01-2008, 07:23 PM Sucks to be old huh? $100T2 11-01-2008, 07:31 PM Probably only when i am heavily medicated, I just can't sleep in. I do get my 7 to 8 hours of sleep in but no matter if sober or not, or went to bed early or not, I wake between 4 to 6am My kids get up every morning at 7 a.m. on the dot. Doesn't matter if I go to bed at 10 p.m or 3 a.m., I'm up at 7 every single day. Steel 11-01-2008, 07:34 PM Depends on your definition. Long gone are the highschool days where i could sleep in to the evening. Nowadays ill wake up on my own at around 9 or 10. I still need an alarm to get my stupid butt up at 6 czarofzar 11-01-2008, 07:35 PM wait till yer 40....youll love it. ask mark. yeah i remember my kids crying to be fed or poop to be cleaned from their bottoms. czarofzar 11-01-2008, 07:37 PM my alarm is always set but i hit it before it goes off. most of the time i wait till my wife summons me to the shower. ah, clean is good Steel 11-01-2008, 07:41 PM Trust me, I prefer waking up early. Anything after 9 feels like a waste of a day. Course my roommate keeps his lazy ass parked in bed till 2pm. I can't wait till he gets a job so he'll stop slobbing up the house all day. And pay rent. Vert8813B 11-01-2008, 08:01 PM Lately, I haven't been able to sleep in til the afternoon like I normally did after a night of boozing on the weekends. I'm up at 10AM on the weekends like clockwork. It kind of sucks when I have a hangover that I think more sleep will help or cure, but I can't go back to sleep. Surprisingly good/interesting question from Czar though IMO. czarofzar 11-01-2008, 08:29 PM why thank you, vert. Animal 11-01-2008, 08:50 PM I've always been good at sleeping. Elementary school counselors said it's "just a phase" and that i'd grow out of it. Middle school and high school, heard the same thing. Had to set an alarm at UW so I could get to the chow hall for lunch before they closed, otherwise i'd have to wait till 1630 when they opened for dinner again. http://wildcat.homeunix.net/temp/chart.png Arrow at the end of the workday thursday, where I started the chart... in bed around midnight, woke up around 0830, at work, in bed 0030 or so (spike was probably from shower), didn't get out of bed till 1230... and no drinking :P rodney87 11-01-2008, 09:42 PM Ah, long ago are the days when I could sleep in till noon on weekends. I'm awake every day at 6:30 now because I'm so used to it. If I get a few weeks off I'll start waking up later. I'm up and about by 7 even on the weekends. czarofzar 11-01-2008, 10:16 PM I have no clue, animal, of what that chart stands to mean. Stanello 11-01-2008, 10:17 PM I don't either. But hell yes I can sleep in. Animal 11-02-2008, 12:18 AM I have no clue, animal, of what that chart stands to mean. Where the temperature (red line) goes up, that's where I was in bed. Time is on the x-axis. Slept 12 hours last night, and I'm about to do the same again. Stanello 11-02-2008, 04:34 AM Yeah, I can grasp that much. I'm missing the graph's purpose. czarofzar 11-02-2008, 06:48 AM ya, like the voltage....fuck, are you wired up? plz explain history on why even have this chart plugged into your ass when you sleep. Supper 11-02-2008, 09:40 AM Yeah, I can grasp that much. I'm missing the graph's purpose. He works for the company that makes the alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet things. Probably helping test the next generation of them. Or thats my guess anyway. As for sleeping in, nope. I have a hard time sleeping till 8am, let alone anything later. I really pissed my girlfriend off this morning because I made her get out of bed at 7am. Well, she's been back in bed and asleep for the last over hour now. One thing I can't stand is people that completely waste the day in bed. Cosby 11-02-2008, 09:52 AM Since I moved to the beach I can't sleep past 9 ever. No matter what, I'm up. I'm guessing its bc the light reflects off the water and focuses on my room. man_of_steel 11-02-2008, 11:33 AM I'm finally able to sleep in again. It was really hard in Hawaii - no central air so it would warm up early morning, everyone uses those damned glass slats for windows and every room is painted white so it got bright really quick.... was just too tough. wotnartd 11-02-2008, 08:38 PM God damn daylight savings, I've napped all DAY! Steel 11-02-2008, 10:05 PM When did daylight saving end? Are you weird motherfuckers back to normal time yet? wotnartd 11-02-2008, 10:08 PM This morning 2AM. Steel 11-02-2008, 10:12 PM So. Good. Ok. Now I'm back to official mountain time. Bitches. Oh yeah. Tofuball 11-03-2008, 07:20 AM Daylight puts me to sleep. I'm more alert by moonlight. Vert8813B 11-03-2008, 07:23 AM I sleep much better in cold cold cold environment. I run AC in the winter. My skin is also getting more pale. Does this mean I am a vampire? Tofuball 11-03-2008, 07:36 AM You sleep in the cold? That's odd, cold wakes most people up. Vert8813B 11-03-2008, 08:14 AM Hot wakes me up... Ever been in a tent in the summer camping and its like 40-50 at night then you sleep in past when the sunrises and it's suddenly like 100 in the tent? That doesn't wake you up? I sleep like a baby when it's ice cold though. Tofuball 11-03-2008, 09:02 AM Sun on my face and I'm out like a light man :P Vert8813B 11-03-2008, 09:08 AM wut? You're the odd one. Steel 11-03-2008, 09:15 AM yeah, the heat wakes me up too. It sucks cause i have an east facing room so it gets ungodly hot in quick order. wotnartd 11-03-2008, 12:48 PM If the temps below 50 I'm a baby in a bed. Vert8813B 11-03-2008, 01:38 PM If the temps below 50 I'm a baby in a bed. x2. wotnartd 11-03-2008, 04:27 PM For me, I'm a fan of cold feet and face. I have a waterbed heated to 80 degrees, and keep my window open year round, with mny feet and head poking put. I can sleep like a mummy. Supper 11-03-2008, 06:05 PM If the temps below 50 I'm a baby in a bed. Shit, I don't sleep good until my room gets down around the 30° mark. I closed the window in my bedroom for the first time this fall last night. Fendamonky 11-04-2008, 11:30 AM See... I sleep well when it's cold out (and you've got a killer blanket). I just do not wake up very well when it's cold in the room... I'll set my alarm for 5:30 (wake up, work out, shower, eat, be out the door by 7:30) and not get out of bed till 6:40 if it's uber cold in my room/house.. Which it is, since the pump for my boiler is broke... and English workers SUCK for getting stuff done in a timely manner =( |
