The 2 1/8" Flywheel nut is hard You'll need an impact or if the motor is out, take it to a Deisel shop.

They generally spin right off. Another option is to go "obtain" a sign post and use that on a 1/2" breaker bar. You can use a chain bolted into the flywheel in two holes and then into another hole on the block to keep it from rotating or take a nice thick piece of steal or iron stock, drill holes to match the flywheel and then bolt it on to keep it from rotating. The impact gun method is a lot quicker and easier though. |
