I thought they looked awesome before they came out. I'm not such a big fan now. I like the c5 much more.

do you really need 500hp to get over your midlife crisis? i guess it couldn't hurt.

i dont think the corvette is a midlife crisis car anymore, its a genuine supercar that can hold its own against cars twice or tripple its price. at least the new zo6, hell, the c6 is faster than the new viper.

i drove a Z06, the 405hp version (seein as how the 500hp aint on showrooms yet)... someone traded it in...

wait... come again???? you can't do anything with a vette????? man you've got a lot to learn, there's TONS you can do with a vette... TONS. just because it's got a head start on your mazda doesnt mean it doesnt have plenty that can be done to it. a blower is just scraping the surface. the LSx engines have sooooo much power potential without a blower or turbo. come on...

Id love to have a LSx powered fox body :)

better heads, cam, intake, better exhaust, more displacement, boost, nitrous, get forged/billet parts. same as any engine.

there is allways room for improvement on any stock car. the corvette is no exeption.

you've got a lot to be learnt on corvette engines then...

tons can be done, turn that 350 into a 383, or a 427... bigger cam, port and polish heads, bigger intake, new exhaust, etc etc... the engine in my car is the same they put in the corvette, but that doesnt mean i have no where to go (right sean, individual throttle bodies comin up!)

my boss has a c3 and i'm trying to talk him in to swapping the suspension from a c5 and drivetrain to it but he don't want to put that kinda money into it. i've been helping on weekends when i can undo and do right what the previous owner done when he changed it from auto to manual. he's already got quite abit in it so far. the only thing that was actually right was the tranny. the bellhousing must have come from a race car, it was so thick and heavy, it must have doubled as a scatter shield. the other guy he got it from really rigged shit up.

haha yeah the dreaded optispark.... fortunately now the camaro isnt a daily driver so i'm not too worried about it, it's a really good system if you fix the factory design.
