coming home from spartanburg tonight, i come up on a c5 convertible. Pretty sure it was an auto... well I look at the guy, looks like a typical snob... nose up in the air, g/f with a rubber face.. ect. well I start harrssing him.... and currently, my car is running a open down pipe, with a 2.5 inch dump pipe exiting right behind the passanger front wheel. well were going along about 70ish, and im cruising in 3rd gear at about 4500 rpms, and the interior resonance inside the car is almsot unbareable... i know it was loud as crap inside the vette too. jsut trying to piss this guy off.. haha... well, the guy FINIALY gets on it, and i stomp it. Boost spikes to about 12 then settles in around 9 or 10 psi.. and the vette is BARELY inching foward... i mean like not even hardly. i come up on redline, and power shift into 4th with out even letting off the gas, and the car belches out the biggest fire ball ever.:firedevil Lit up the whole road, flashed RIGHT beside this guys window and sounding like a damn cannon going off.. well I look over at him and hes got this look of pure shock on his face almost scared looking... and then lets off... so i let off and the pops out a few more fire balls, and then I get back beside him and antangoise him some more. this guy wont even look at me now.. Hes got a white knuckle death grip at 10 and 12 on the steering wheel, looking stright ahead. so i rev a little then put it in 5th and slowly creep away. haha Some one told me that the c5 verts run around 14s in the 1/4 im sure it would have killed me low end power, but under boost in high rpms it was close. I need to go to commerce!

depends on the year, when or right after the Z06 came out they bumped the rest of the line to 350hp

I doubt it had 350 hp. It was probably like a 97/98 almsot posotive it was auto as well. either way, i kept up with a vette :D

takes about 8.90s to beat a vette with a bad driver. with a good driver id say 8.50s.

Cars arent priced only for their engines. WRX is worth 20,000, 0-60 5.3, its a new car. The conquest is quick for what you paid for it, but come on, its an 89. And as for the vette, i dont care if you had a 10 second conquest, id still take the vette in a second, wrx too.

you're paying for the reliability and bling. i'll spend the extra money to have a car that doesn't look like ****. grassroots motorsports is doing a contest where the most you can spend on a car is $2004. and i bet there are a few that will kick my car's ass. i don't give a ****...my car's quick and looks good doing it too. I'll take my car over your ****pile anyday
