I've gotta say, I think both sides have a good point in the matter... but i'm leaning more towards Mark's arguement in full...

I think that fucking reporter is a goddamn retard. She keeps defending Kanye West and interrupting that Mark dude, and then yelling at him if he says anything in the way of that Morris guy. That Morris dude can go ahead and say whatever he wanted, but Mark would get cut off or yelled at. That was a bullshit debate, everyone went after that guy, nevermind the fact that he was right on the fucking ball.

Notice how no one went after the point that blacks have become a dependent race? I don't think they tried to counter any point that he made actually, because he was mostly right on the ball.

Honestly, I think they were both on and off at times and they are both not very good representatives of the respective races. Kanye West is a moron who thinks he can be a politican cause he has money. Looting is looting period(however needed or justified). the white guy(MArk) said some things that were totally off base and some things that were right on.

For instance:
1) POOR people not blacks alone have been complacated in this society. this isw an example of the times to come when america is no longer the super power it is today. "powers" are fading fast and the world is shifting. education and progression of the people as a whole is needed. when the proverbial shit hits the fan, these people will suffer just like in this situation because they are poor, uneducated, and comfortable in this situation(by this i dont mean they dont want better but cant/wont do what is nessacary to get it)
2) He was right on about the fact that entertainers have too much of a voice in the media and the relief/efforts in these types of situations. the people who should have been on that screen were not Kanye and Mike but The fema and red cross leaders giving a realistic and educated veiw of what it would take and what was needed.
3)Also, the whole party/media hype and bickering is worse than the race issue in my mind. the only thing that interview or debate was about was ratings and hype. the race thing is still prevalant in america, however the media is largely responsible for imposing there own agendian veiws and spins on already heated situations.

Morris:
1)was the more respectful of the two and made a very honest point... "the problem was federal, along with local and state" officials letting the "races" down. he was very cool and accurate on this i think.
2)the fact that kanye west was speaking about this issue was not heroic but heretic in my mind. if hes concerned about race then why fire it up needlessly with a comment like that. if he really thinks that about bush and can prove it then go for it. all he did was spout off and cause more gas to be hurled into the already white hot fire. The fact that jesse jackson or al shorpton didnt even make a comment like that should speak volumes about the situation. if the most racial and biased people from the NAACP dont even say it that way, then there is probably a good reason.
3)I lost all respect for his argument when the cameras were fading and he fired off the last comment about being out of touch to the white guy... a typical black angry activist(sorry, its true). if you ever see a black activist that gets schooled or he/she feels that the argument wasnt won totally then you will see what i call a third grade retrabution. that childish display of ingnorance and lack of something worth while progresses to name calling and attack. now im not saying that white or any other races dont do this but it is much more prevelant in this situation.

It was also funny when Mark said something to the effect of "who is Kanye West to have such an opinion", and the reporter sarcastically fired back "Well Mark, he's enough to have a #1 single right now". I guess that makes him a fucking politician and a scholar as well doesn't it?

Kanye West is a dumb cub, plain and simple. Ever see that Punk'd episode where he steals back the film and runs off with it? True cub.

No....he didnt. Its not just blacks. the issue was larger than the media and Nagin wanted it to be. EVERY person too poor or stupid to leave was effect/affected by their own complacency not just blacks or any other race.

Oh yeah, and Kanye sucks donkey balls and you who will still buy his music and support his idiocy do to :p

They should have run the kanye west video with audio to completely discredit west's good intentions. His intention was to bitch about the man like he probably did his whole life not because he is black but because he is a loser with no real means to benefit society. I think Mark has very good points but I don't know that it is an issue of race so much as culture.
