If the car rolled so hard, chances are that even a "regular" door will have a hard time opening if the roof/body is distorted. It will lock the door in position. BTW, Scissor doors are better if u drive in the lake and need to open the door. Less likely to fight the water pressure. Zero 08-31-2006, 05:55 PM All around normal doors are safer... or everything would come with lambo doors. I've been upside down with a roof crushed and the doors were kind of "squashed" slightly, but still opened fine... i think most door latches are in the toughest part of the body so that they don't lock in place... and the curves of cars helps push them out rather than be locked in. Not exactly true, because you still have to push it open a few inches then pull it up. Rotary Knight 08-31-2006, 09:08 PM Not exactly true, because you still have to push it open a few inches then pull it up. its either a couple of inches or a foot. if you open the door a couple of inches, the water pressure would send water into the car and thereby stabilizing the pressure inside and out. Say No To Pistons 08-31-2006, 09:10 PM Exactly. so its still the same. man_of_steel 09-14-2006, 06:43 PM oops. I remember this. The driver was some model who had been pretty hot.... oh well... |
