Congrats on possibly buying a house....but you do know that Q3 earnings/losses are going to be added up starting tomorrow and all the big money people holding real estate are gonna see those losses and scream, "Sell!" (inhale)

please wait another 30 days and see what happens.

Black Monday, Black Friday etc occur in October for a reason......Big Money and Q3 reports. This year the most common loser is Real Estate.

I am expecting to be able to purchase a house this next year. The House I am thinking of was $700k+ last year. I bet I can get it for $450K.

30 year fixed at $2500 per month.

Front door is to the left. The top unit is the one i'm after. I think that the layout is such that the top unit has a few more sqft too. A little under 800sqft, not including garage.

Meaning Citi just posted a 60% drop in earnings due to the subprime mess, and UBS is doing almost as bad.

Dude with the location pictured above decided to counter my offer for no less than asking price and not paying any closing costs or anything. Basically wants more than it'll appraise for... :flipoff:

Good news is there's anohter location, same complex, that's been updated a bit more. Apparently they finished the attic above the garage and put a door in between it and the house... should be interesting. Showing thursday.

It isn't just the lending companies.

Look at a Doctor that has a nice portfolio and then about 5-10 properties.

Since 2002 RE has been the hot ticket....just like the Dot Com boom before that. Now, they see this huge area of their portfolio bringing down the Net worth.

They see it as (to use a medical term) hemorrhaging and they need to stop the bleeding fast........Answer??? Dump the properties before they drop in price even further says the Financial adviser / Money Manager.

They drop the price...or try to drop the price lower than the guy next to them and the Downward escalator is in effect. The sooner you dump the property the less money you lose.

THAT is the discussion that every holder of Real Estate is having this week.

My Boss (rich bastard) was real quiet today.....know why? I do..... Q3 financials.

If that dude thinks He is going to get MORE than the current appraisal he is smoking crack and did you a favor by blowing you out. This is illistrated by you already finding a neighbor that is selling for less.

Understand, if you buy the neighbors place, House "A" will be appraised according to your sale price.

I'm just trying to get a house that I can fit all 4 of my kids into right now.

It was all good when they where 3' tall.

My 15 year old is 6' 210 lbs.........He needs some space.

We need a big house so the wife will stop nagging me...
