Everything that we know and understand consists of a beginning and an end, however, this does not discount the possibility that the infinite exists. You can't disprove something simply because we are unable to comprehend it in our current state.

bx7
07-22-2008, 03:45 AM
That still doesn't make sense.

God is the uncaused cause. If not, then everything around you is in a sense eternal, infinite. Why so? Because if there is no singular cause of the universe then logically it must have always existed, infinitely and eternally. That you don't understand this doesn't make it illogical or senseless. Either you can't abstract enough to grasp it or it's never been explained to you at your level of understanding.

If there is no creator, then time has always existed. It would have been without cause. If time has always existed you have to consider that it never had a beginning and it will never have an end. This may seem to make more sense to you but then you should ask yourself why it exists at all? If there is no cause how did it come into existence. When you can abstract like this it becomes easier to apply it the whole universe. It exists and this is great but why does it exist when it could just as easily if not more easily not existed at all?

A lot of people struggle with believing in God when there's so much "evidence" for evolution out there. Skip this and jump right to the origin of the universe. I chuckle at short sighted morons who spend their lives promoting evolutionary science and denying God based on a couple of rocks and bones here on planet Rube when there's a whole universe out there screaming order and design.

Your point needs explanation. If there is no God and we didn't evolve from a spontaneously created form of life, then, how do you think we got here? If your answer is aliens, well alright, where did they come from originally? That still doesn't touch the origin of the 'verse.

Well don't lay the burden of this question on religion. Or try to disprove God with this question. Look at it from an atheist point of view. Where did anything begin? Where did the materials from the big bang come from?

Welcome to the world of infinite regression. Complex things just don't suddenly appear and that is what the evidence supports. So even if there was ANY evidence (which there isn't) to support the existence of god. Chances are he himself did not spontaneously become complex enough to devise everything.

LMFAO @ the claim that athiests/agnostics claim "aliens did it". Talk about a lie

BackyardSog
07-22-2008, 03:03 PM
contradicts what you just said...are you that confused?

No because I don't think complex things such as God suddenly appear. He himelf would have to be a product of natural selection. But thanks for agreeing whith me.

it's hardly a "lie", it's an increasingly prevalent belief system, because most rational/logical individuals recognize complex life didn't just "happen", yet the concept of Design by the unseen Creator offends them

Harldy and I think you will have a hard time demonstrating so. But you are right in saying rational/logical individuals recognize complex life didn't just happen.

LOL I knew that would get you worked up. Life is cyclical we're just looking at the universe through a straw. It's not too complicated. Higher knowledge is not evil. Just like the forbidden fruit. It did make them like God. Knowing good from evil was the first step. Do you really think God wants to dominate you for eternity? Don’t you think he would want to teach you everything? We are talking about eternity here.

AmishBoy
07-23-2008, 02:41 PM
I really prefer the smaller answers that don't involve long quotes that I haven't the time nor desire to read.

Question: Is God the father and Jesus and the Holy Ghost three separate things?

Question: Do they share the term or position of "GOD"?

Question: Whom do you pray to?

These answers should not require more than two or three sentences at the most. I want the world according to you so no quotes please.

AmishBoy
07-23-2008, 03:42 PM
if you're too lazy to read a couple of passages of scripture, there isn't much hope for you

No I just want your words. Not quotes.

three "personalities" if you will, one God...the Trinity cannot be fully comprehended by anyone

Three personalities? Jesus was here. He is flesh and blood. He is a perfect resurrected person. Wasn't Jesus and us created in God's image? Now if that's true God must have a body. How could Jesus have a body and the Father not have one? Aren't we going to be resurrected?

we pray to the Father, through the Mediator...there is one Mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus

So is Jesus a man or a God. You said before he is a God. Are we "man"?

AmishBoy
07-23-2008, 04:03 PM
What is that saying? Lets use this one.

Genesis 1:27 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Turbo II Rotor

Jesus was just the bastard child of the "virgin" Mary who was just having sex out of wedlock and didn't want to be excuited so she said her son was god. Doesn't that make more sense?

AmishBoy
07-23-2008, 04:10 PM
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

So they are all three seperate and we are in their image.

"Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
