If I hear "welcome to the real world" one more time I'm going to roundhouse someone. I've been working in the real world AND going to school for 5 years.

Cosby 12-10-2007, 04:43 PM What should I do before I graduate? My life isn't really going to change a whole lot but I figured there is some stuff I should do before I'm officially "in the real world." If I hear "welcome to the real world" one more time I'm going to roundhouse someone. I've been working in the real world AND going to school for 5 years. Vert8813B 12-10-2007, 04:48 PM Fuck Yeah man. I'm in the same boat. I graduate this May myself. Let's go to Amsterdam together and smoke a shitload of weed. Cosby 12-10-2007, 06:29 PM I was going to costa rica before I messed up my shoulder... I'm still planning on going across the usa in may though. I actually graduate on the 20th of this month. 2ndGen.Rocket 12-10-2007, 07:05 PM If I were you I'd buy an old Honda Goldwing and ride across the country. Cosby 12-10-2007, 07:11 PM Honestly.... that sounds miserable. Eatmyclutch 12-10-2007, 08:25 PM Drop acid. Maybe do some backpacking across Europe. Learn there is a vast world out there and all that stuff. manveru 12-11-2007, 12:21 AM yeah, + a million for traveling and experiencing other cultures. in all honesty, that's all i want to do. im in prime bachelor status, and i firmly believe i could live above a garage with my car and all necessary tools, and just travel whenever i felt like. the shitty thing is, is it's expensive.....sucks Eatmyclutch 12-11-2007, 01:30 AM Backpacking with another guy = teh :gay2: Vert8813B 12-11-2007, 06:03 AM lol dood...lot's of european things seem gay, but it truely isn't gay unless the balls touch. Cosby 12-11-2007, 10:35 AM It isn't gay unless you get a boner Manntis 12-11-2007, 12:34 PM whatever you decide to do, don't stamp it. cool_as_crap 12-11-2007, 12:51 PM I still say we go to Amsterdam. Maybe do some backpacking across Europe. Learn there is a vast world out there and all that stuff. Wow, why don't you two just start making out right now :gay2: Eatmyclutch 12-11-2007, 01:51 PM whatever you decide to do, don't stamp it. Tell that to the guy here who thinks meats pulling is faggotry. andyr32 12-11-2007, 02:07 PM In hind sight, I wish I would've taken more time off between college and starting my job. I only took about 2 weeks off and should've taken 2 months. Too anxious to start making more money. Eatmyclutch 12-11-2007, 02:08 PM We all on that paper chase. cool_as_crap 12-11-2007, 03:13 PM Eat'n dat up like termites. Eatmyclutch 12-11-2007, 08:03 PM Spend too much more money than I make. Cosby 12-12-2007, 01:16 AM I've got enough money to take a little break. Just not a big break. Vert8813B 12-12-2007, 06:05 AM Tax Refund FTW? rxtasy 12-13-2007, 07:42 AM congrats on graduating and welcome to the real.......ha ha j/k. Eatmyclutch 12-13-2007, 10:50 PM The real world started epochs ago. Where have you been? Palumbo 12-14-2007, 02:09 AM Just hang out with your wang out. Its winter, what is there to do at this time? Just save up some more and when you've been working for a good year or two, go to Europe or something, It's a nice way to pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for your hard work. Thats what I plan on doing, atleast. Eatmyclutch 12-14-2007, 08:59 PM I have a bettter idea, but involves no travelling (not a travel type dude). Save up money for a down pay for a house. BTW how cheap/expensive is housing in the Filipines? Palumbo 12-14-2007, 09:45 PM Cheap. We have land here near where I go to school, but my dad isn't ready/willing to build on it yet. Materials are cheap (most) and the workers take dirt cash. All you need is a good architect, there are a shitload here. I can't live here, though. Pharmacists are WAY underpaid, plus I hate living in a small city compared to Los Angeles, I can't go out with different women and expect not to be noticed by someone I know. Its nice to vacation here, but to live?... no thanks. GTRay 12-17-2007, 09:08 PM Take a trip to Australia and check out Sydney Harbour, Check out the north eastern coast line - more importantly, check out the beaches and their "scenery." While your there take some time to check in on the world of tuning over there. I would compare their "import" tuners to the guys that build "domestics" over here. After that come home and spend some time on the couch playing video games and eating Cheetos. Next - go check out western europe. Take the trains from France into Italy and then up to Germany. Just make it up as you go - call in your reservations a day or two in advance and just hoof it. So far i've managed to do both of those in my life and the memories will last a lifetime - if nothing else - get your ass to Rome. Walking through the Coliseum will send chills through your body when you get to see just how immense it is and how incredibly similar it is to modern stadiums. It's funny - by going to these places you gain an incredible "sense" of history. You will see things that you've only read about and they become "real." Seeing the world through local eyes is something you will never regret! Ray |
