and the RX i have now is a 12a carb. non turbo. its slow!!!! but im going to go look at an 1995 eclipse(turbo i think) this weekend. so lets hope its in good shape.</font>

<font color='#000F22'>well maybe he can build an engine for me b/c Im spending $600 on a JDM engine (and I thought that was a good deal...guess not) I have to buy the porting templates and port it. &nbsp;Then Im putting in new apex seals and control rings and what not ($450) and putting a new gasket set on it $130. *So that means Im spending at least $1180 (with a lot of discounts) on parts alone for a turbo engine that wont even come near that super engine for $450. *Hook me up man.</font>

<font color='#000000'>hey osborne ill talk to him and see what hes got. i talked to him this morning and hes now putting a racing beat full exhaust and header on my car too. the exhaust retails at $1200 hes sellin it to me for $350. anyways that engine hes done all that to he only paid $25 for it at a junkyard in chesnee. the seals were stuck and it wouldnt run so the guy thought the engine was blown. its a '90 convertible rx-7 engine with less than 10,000 miles on it. He said there are some stupid people that dont know better and will sell you an engine for that. lol</font>

<font color='#000000'>it was the normal 2 rotor engine that came in the RX-7's at the time. He just ported it huge thats how he got so much power out of it. now hes replacing the seals altogether and doing some other things to it.</font>

<font color='#000000'>have you heard of a peripheral port osborne?? I never had heard of one until he told me thats what he had done to that engine. all i know is that it supposedly makes a lot of horsepower.</font>

<font color='#000F22'>A peripheral port is a type of port that is extremely time consuming and expensive to do. &nbsp;It was declared illegal in just about every sanctioned racing body. &nbsp;Engines with peripheral ports dont idle below 2000 rpm, use tons of gas and dont make max hp until above 8000 rpm. &nbsp;My max hp is at 7400, 400 rpm above &quot;red line&quot; so as you can tell 8000+ rpm is not good for engines. &nbsp;The stock ports are sealed using some crap I dont remember the name of that begins with a d I think and new round ports are installed. &nbsp;I wonder why he would waste his time on that?</font>
