my roomate brought a kick ass leather couch but it reeks of cigarette smoke. Is there any way to get the stench out without ruining it?

I'd try cleaning it, then treating it... then I'd just let it air out (if you can open windows during the day, or night or something).... I saw this thing about layin dryer sheets on things to absorb odors out too. I think black people do that to themselves.

2 oz of woolite in small bucket of water with 2-3 cups of warm water. Grab a towel and wipe down the couch with the solution.. When you're done with the solution, refill the bucket with clean warm tap water and wipe down the couch with that. It worked on my leather love seat my uncle gave to me (he's a smoker), i have to do it a few times though (keeping the windows open in my room probably helped a lot too).

I googled and found this, i hope it helps:

The smell of leather conditioner is pretty strong. Clean it up best as possible and like Zero said hit it up with some conditioner.

I've found Leatherique to be the best leather cleaner and conditioner that there is. I've never tried to remove cigarette smell with it, but it's worth a shot.
