Palumbo 06-25-2007, 04:15 AM Throughout high school I have had about two to three migraines a month. I get the typical 'aura' in my eye, followed by a bitch headache 15 minutes later.
Ever since last year, the aching headaches have disappeared, but the symptom of the 'aura' still appears twice or thrice a month, depending on how stressed I am. I would get the aura, it would then disappear after 10 minutes, but (luckily) the excruciating headache doesn't follow.
Whats wrong with my migraines? Seems that I don't get the headaches anymore, just the pre-symptoms of it.
Tofuball 06-25-2007, 06:59 AM Just had one yesterday! Yay!
Such bad headaches I want to throw up.
I take two Advil and kill a half hour in a dark room with no noise and they tend to subside.
2ndGen.Rocket 06-25-2007, 07:02 AM I know that chicks and people with brain tumors get them.
Queen 06-25-2007, 08:03 AM have you been to a neurologist?
Palumbo 06-25-2007, 09:44 AM No, I haven't.
I suppose I will get professional opinion soon. Just wanted to see if there were any neurologists here.
Queen 06-25-2007, 09:47 AM that would be a good first step.. and you're welcome to wait 85 years for me to finish school =D
Palumbo 06-25-2007, 09:51 AM 48 years is the cut off. I'll be dead around that time.
Hurry.
Queen 06-25-2007, 10:08 AM ugh, I'll try, but you're rushing me >:l
wotnartd 06-25-2007, 10:17 AM Go to the doctor. Odds are they'll prescribe Imitrex.
Palumbo 06-25-2007, 10:51 AM I don't take prescription drugs unless I really need them (Pharmacy school has brainwashed me).
Either way, I don't need any drugs since I don't get the headaches anymore anyways.

Just a soft nudge. :peace:

Concentrait very hard, I'm positive that you'll be able to see through metal.

If it's happening only while you are in school, they are probably set off by the fluorescent lights.
rtryb2200 06-30-2007, 04:33 AM I know this sounds really odd, but I've never had a headache in my entire life, unless it was because I hit my skull and got a bruise. I don't think I could even imagine what a migraine would feel like

No, happens randomly.

:asshole:
Update: I just got a wicked migraine about 4 days ago. I take this whole thread back... haha.

I have had migraines for the past 6 years of my life and I am only 22. I went to a neurologist - yada yada yada .I have both a prescription for Imitrex and Maxalt - Both for migraines. I recommend the orally disintergrating(sp?) version of Maxalt. Depending on the severity -it can knock it out without 30-60 minutes, but sometimes it wont knock it out (those are the migraines of hell where you cant even move without being in pain). Definitly check out a good neurologist and see what they have to say.
