i'd say probably no more than it does painting a copper radiator. but there's a reason they don't paint aluminum radiators.

They paint the copper radiators because the copper corrodes easier

Aluminum biulds up a substrate layer and then generally doesnt corrode.

Certain types of paint conduct heat better then others :)

YEp different paint for different apps. I have heard that they make a paint that accually helps heat disapation.

They do.

But better then paint, they have a ceramic based coating that vastly increases heat transfer.

It also spreads on with a kind of 'rough' finish to aid in the transfer.

You coat both sides of the IC in it, inside and outside.

I have no experience with it though. High doller mods were never my thing :P

A place does it around here and the reason I didnt say anything was because its not only expensive, but DAMN expensive. I think they quoted me a price for a 21x14x4.5 core and it was something like 800$.

I've been thinking about meshing mine but it is already so tight I'd hate to have to cut some more.
